Position Overview We are looking for a creative, hands‑on Social Media Manager & Content Creator to own and execute our digital presence. This person will be responsible for planning, creating, and posting content that drives engagement, builds brand identity, and ultimately brings people through the door. This is not just a strategy role. We are looking for someone who can ideate, shoot, edit, post, and analyze, all while staying compliant with cannabis marketing regulations. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a social media content strategy across Instagram, TikTok, and other relevant platforms Create high-quality, engaging content including photos, videos, reels, and stories Be on‑site regularly to capture real‑time content (store, team, product, customer experience) Write captions that align with brand voice and drive engagement Manage posting schedule and ensure consistency Monitor comments, DMs, and community engagement Track performance metrics and adjust strategy based on what’s working Stay current on trends and identify opportunities to keep OTEC relevant and visible Ensure all content remains compliant with New York State cannabis marketing regulations Collaborate with leadership on campaigns, promotions, and brand direction Qualifications Proven experience managing social media accounts for a brand or business Comfortable using tools like Instagram, TikTok, Canva, CapCut, Adobe, etc. Understanding of social media trends and how to translate them into brand content Strong writing skills for captions and messaging Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Highly organized and able to manage content calendars and deadlines Interest in cannabis and willingness to learn compliance requirements What We’re Looking For Someone who gets brand, not just posting content Creative but also accountable and consistent Comfortable being in the store, around the team, and capturing real moments Someone who takes initiative and brings ideas to the table A balance of aesthetic, strategy, and execution Bonus Points Experience in cannabis, retail, or hospitality Experience growing a brand or account from the ground up Basic graphic design or branding experience Familiarity with compliance rules around cannabis marketing Why Join OTEC Opportunity to build and shape a brand from the ground up Creative ownership and input on direction Fast‑growing, team‑oriented environment Real impact on business growth and visibility #J-18808-Ljbffr
