We are currently conducting a search for a Controller for a Phoenix-based General Contractor with roughly 25+ years in business working on 200+ projects per year for REITs, senior living communities, resorts, and commercial property owners.

Responsibilities:
- Own full-cycle accounting for the company: GL, AP/AR, payroll oversight, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close
- Prepare and maintain percentage-of-completion (POC) schedules and revenue recognition in line with construction industry standards (cost-to-cost method, over/under billings, WIP schedules)
- Maintain job costing across active projects and partner with project managers/superintendents on budget-to-actual variance and job profitability
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and monthly financial reporting to ownership
Must haves:
- True full-cycle accounting experience — this person needs to be able to do everything, not just review or manage others' work
- Construction industry accounting experience, including xhyhwjd percentage-of-completion / WIP accounting
- Job costing experience and comfort partnering with operations/field teams
- Experience with a construction-specific ERP (Sage 300 CRE, Sage Intacct, Viewpoint Vista, Foundation, or similar)
