Controller

Our Central Phoenix Manufacturing client is seeking a hands-on Interim Controller to lead accounting operations, provide financial leadership, and partner closely with operations. This role requires a strong background in manufacturing accounting, cost accounting, and team leadership. This position will be on-site in their Phoenix office. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily accounting functions, including GL, AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, and month-end close. Lead and mentor the accounting team while remaining involved in day-to-day operations. Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. Drive cost accounting, inventory valuation, variance analysis, and margin performance reporting. Partner with plant and operational leaders to improve financial and operational results. Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and working capital initiatives. Maintain strong internal controls and ensure GAAP compliance. Coordinate audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance requirements. Support ERP optimization, process improvement, and ongoing process efficiencies. Deliver financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA preferred. 8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including 3+ years of leadership experience. Required manufacturing industry background with strong cost and inventory accounting expertise. Experience supporting multi-site operations and manufacturing ERP systems. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls. Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with operations and executive leadership in a fast-paced environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr Headfarmer
