Interim Controller

Vaco has partnered with a well-established construction organization undergoing accounting and operational modernization. As a result, they are seeking an experienced Interim Controller with strong construction accounting expertise, financial cleanup experience, and Vista ERP knowledge.

Job Title: Interim Controller

Location: Phoenix, AZ (onsite)

Pay Rate: $65-70 per hour

Project Duration: 4-5+ months (ideally contract-to-hire)

Start Date: Target 9/7

Responsibilities Include:

• Lead and improve the monthly close process while ensuring accurate financial reporting
• Perform general ledger cleanup, reconciliations, and account analysis
• Review and correct fixed asset records and accounting transactions
• Manage construction accounting processes including job costing, WIP reporting, and project financial analysis

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred
• Construction project accounting experience required
• Experience with Vista systerm strongly preferred
• Comfortable working onsite in a fast-paced, collaborative construction setting
