SUMMARY:

The Patient Benefits Coordinator is responsible for verifying insurance eligibility, coverage and benefits. Including but not limited to submitting predeterminations/authorizations, calculating financial responsibility and communicating the same to patient and collecting necessary deposits to proceed with treatment.

ESSENTIAL FUNTIONS:

  • Collect necessary deposits
  • Data entry in OPIE
  • Review practitioners' documentation to ensure appropriate billing
  • Insurance claims follow-up
  • Assist with claims and submissions and collections
  • Schedule patients appropriately for various locations

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Good organization skills
  • knowledge of basic bookkeeping, accounts receivable, basic math skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Work well with others in a team setting
  • Microsoft office, excel and outlook
  • Friendly and engaging customer service skills!
