Lead Fire Alarm Technician

Lead TechnicianWe're looking for a technician who takes pride in the trade—someone who can troubleshoot a difficult system, run a project, work professionally with customers and AHJs, and help develop the technicians working alongside them.The lead technician will perform and lead commercial fire alarm installation, service, programming, commissioning, testing and troubleshooting throughout the Greater Philadelphia, South Jersey and surrounding markets.The lead technician will also work with fire alarm control panels, initiating devices, notification appliances, power supplies, sprinkler interfaces, fire pumps, elevator recall, HVAC shutdown, door release and other life-safety system interfaces.Responsibilities:Run fire alarm projects from startup through acceptance testingRead and interpret drawings, specifications and sequence-of-operations documentsTroubleshoot SLC, NAC, power, communication and ground-fault conditionsProgram and commission fire alarm systemsCoordinate work with electricians, sprinkler technicians, GCs and other tradesConduct acceptance testing with AHJsDocument field conditions and deficienciesTrain and mentor developing techniciansHelp establish Victory's field standards and best practicesQualifications:5+ years of commercial fire alarm experienceStrong installation, service and troubleshooting abilityFire alarm programming and commissioning experienceStrong understanding of NFPA 72 and applicable fire alarm codesAbility to read construction drawings and wiring diagramsExperience working independently and leading other techniciansProfessional customer and AHJ communication skillsValid driver's license and acceptable driving recordNICET Level II or higher is strongly preferredNICET Level III is a major plusExperience with Fire-Lite, Silent Knight, NOTIFIER, Potter, Edwards/EST, Gamewell-FCI, Siemens, Simplex or similar commercial platforms is highly desirableStrong fire alarm fundamentals, troubleshooting ability and the willingness to learnPay: $38.00 - $45.00 per hourHours: No less than 40.0 per weekBenefits:Overtime opportunitiesCompany vehicleCompany fuel cardCompany phone/tabletMedical, dental and vision benefits401(k)Paid vacation and holidaysPaid manufacturer trainingPaid NICET testing/certification supportTool/boot allowanceAdvancement opportunitiesDirect access to Fire Alarm Division leadershipEmployee assistance programEmployee discountOpportunities for advancementBy joining Total Fire Protection, you not only become part of a dynamic and innovative team but also gain access to a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your professional and personal growth.
