We are looking for an IT Specialist I in San Diego, CA.Provide the Department of the Navy, Naval Information Warfare Systems Command with Business Financial Management, Acquisition Management, Program Management, and Engineering Support Services.ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, and maintain an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and internet systems or a segment of a network system, including data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers.Perform system monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems.Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups.Analyze network and server resource consumption and control user access.Install and upgrade software and maintain software licenses.Conduct network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.RequirementsBachelor's Degree and 3 years of relevant experience or Associate's Degree and 7 years of relevant experienceDefense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) DAWIA Level II in Information Systems or equivalent.Ability to explore and examine data from multiple disparate sources with the goal of drawing conclusions to address business problems.Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and data mining skills.Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Excellent oral and written skills.Excellent critical thinking skills.Ability to work independently and as a team member.Ability to learn and apply project management concepts to assigned duties.Must possess an active Secret Clearance - RequiredThis contractor and subcontractor shall abide by the requirements of 41 CFR §§ 60-1.4(a), 60-300.5(a) and 60-741.5(a).
