Manager/Director Underwriting

Title: Senior Underwriter Overview Support and lead underwriting for complex financing deals. This role focuses on evaluating risk, structuring transactions, and managing deals from initial review through approval and funding. Key Responsibilities Conduct due diligence and assess credit risk for new deals Analyze financials and evaluate cash flow, collateral, and overall deal structure Manage deals through approval, including preparing investment summaries Partner with legal, compliance, and operations to finalize and fund transactions Maintain and prioritize a pipeline of active deals Communicate updates, risks, and market insights to leadership Help improve underwriting and deal execution processes Requirements 7+ years of underwriting experience (equipment finance, asset-based, or cash flow lending) Strong financial analysis and credit evaluation skills Experience structuring and negotiating secured transactions Ability to work under tight timelines and manage multiple deals Strong communication skills with senior stakeholders Proficiency with standard business tools and systems Willingness to work onsite Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
