Analyst - Mortgage Post Close

Bank of Hope is looking for an Analyst-Mortgage Post Close for our Mortgage department. * Ship credit/closing packages to investors to facilitate review of loans for purchase. * Assist in the resolution of conditions that arise as a result of investors reviewing loans for purchase. * Provide RESPA and Notification of Service Transfer letters to borrowers within mandated time frames for loans set to be transferred. * Track all funds (escrow, principal and interest) received during interim servicing of sold loans and remit funds owed to investors.

• Assist borrowers as needed with any servicing transfer inquiries or issues.
• Facilitate the forwarding of all Deed of Trust and Final Title Policies to

investors on loans sold. * Scrubbing Closing Packages that come in daily, adding to daily log, then scanning to Encompass. * Pulling and sorting the original notes from packages, then sending them overnight to assigned warehouses. * Shelving closing packages into appropriate buckets, adding in any missing documents. * After the closing package has been completely checked and shelved, then build the credit package for the borrower. * Once the loan has been assigned the investor, then the closing package must be built per the investors’ requirements, then the closing package and the credit package must be uploaded to the investor’s website. * The note request for the assigned loans is sent to each warehouse to be send to the appropriate investor.

• Opening and uploading the trailing docs into Encompass
• Looking up the trailing docs to see if the loans is completed, then sending

the documents to the investor

• Cleaning out the filing cabinets weekly
• Emailing title companies for missing documents and trailing docs
• Building packages for QC Audits
• Tracking down notes to send to servicing department.
• Complete lists from investors looking for trailing docs that hadn’t been

received. * Following up with investors after the loan has shipped. Job Qualifications/Requirements Education/Credentials * Minimum Education Level: High School Diploma Prior Experience * Required: 2 years of banking experience, preferably in mortgage Technical Skills * Able to adhere to strict reporting requirements and deadlines determined by the Investor * Able to validate balances and reconcile differences to ensure accurate reporting * Understands amortization methods of different loan types and how they affect loan balances

• Good working knowledge of Encompass preferred
• Previous experience in a paperless environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Well-developed problem solving skills to research and resolve discrepancies
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• A professional work ethic and attitude

The salary range for this full-time position is $25.00 - $30.00 annually + bonus + benefits Salary ranges are determined based on qualifications, level, and location.
