Join Our Team as an Obstetrician and Gynecologist

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a board-eligible or board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist to become a full-time faculty member in our Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Training Program at the Flint Campus of the College of Human Medicine.

Located in Flint, Michigan, our medical center serves a diverse patient demographic and offers a broad range of medical cases, with a strong commitment to addressing health disparities. We are proud to deliver around 3,000 babies annually. Our Obstetrics and Gynecology Department consists of a vibrant team of faculty physicians, private practitioners, advanced practice providers, and registered nurses. We feature a Level III NICU and a Center for Maternal Fetal Medicine, enabling us to handle high-risk pregnancies effectively. Additionally, we are recognized as a Level 3 facility by the Joint Commission Maternal Levels of Care Program. Opportunities for minimally invasive robotic surgeries are available using the da Vinci Xi surgical system. Our graduates are well-prepared for successful careers as specialists or subspecialists.

The successful candidate will engage in various aspects of obstetric and gynecologic care, including:

• Laborist shifts
• Clinic attending physician duties
• Gynecologic surgery
• Floor rounding
• Consultation services

Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills are essential for this role.

Faculty members in this position may seek an academic appointment with the College of Human Medicine at a rank that reflects their experience.

• Provide clinical coverage and supervise residents 4-5 days a week
• Assist with administrative tasks for the residency program as directed by the program director
• Engage in departmental and institutional committees
• Contribute to the formal education of residents and medical students
• Participate in scholarly activities as outlined by the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)
