Staffing Coordinator Brooke Glen Behavioral Hospital has been providing psychiatric services to the Philadelphia area for more than 40 years. Located in Fort Washington, PA, our 146-bed facility provides a peaceful setting for those seeking treatment for mental illness. Brooke Glen offers unique and individualized programming for adolescents and adults that sets us apart from many other treatment facilities, and our tenured leadership team includes a seasoned nursing department. The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for the centralized scheduling of Nursing Department Personnel. He or she must have knowledge of standards and policies relative to scheduling of personnel and must be able to organize and maintain records and logs related to work schedules. Additional duties may be assigned. The staffing coordinator must have good communication skills and be able to interact with members of all hospital departments. Qualifications: Education: High School Degree or equivalent required; two (2) years experience in psychiatric field or two (2) years college credit in related field. Experience: Two (2) years of related experience. Knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred. Additional Requirements: Successful completion of CPR Certification. May be required to work overtime and flexible hours. Clerical skills such as computer literacy, filing, maintenance of schedules and logs required. Primary Responsibilities: Schedules Nursing Department Personnel according to established policies, collective bargaining agreements and staffing patterns. Implements established procedures for reallocation of staff to meet daily needs. Educates and trains Nursing Supervisors and Managers on the electronic scheduling system, ShiftHound. Projects staffing needs for each shift based on acuity and special patient procedures (1:1, LOS, assistance with ADL's etc). Consults with CNO or Nurse Manager when adjustments in staff numbers or mix is indicated. Implements procedures for position control. Performs other duties as assigned.
