Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients with athletic injuries to determine appropriate diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Design customized rehabilitation programs tailored to individual patient needs, utilizing advanced therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, strength training, and neuromuscular re-education.
• Work closely with orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, and other rehabilitation specialists to enhance multidisciplinary patient care.
• Provide guidance and education to patients and their families regarding injury prevention, performance enhancement, and long-term wellness strategies.
• Document patient progress and treatment adjustments in an electronic medical record (EMR) system to ensure continuity of care.
• Engage in performance improvement initiatives and participate in community outreach programs to promote sports health and injury prevention.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role emphasizes the rehabilitation of athletes and active individuals who experience sports-related injuries. You will work with a diverse range of patients, from weekend warriors to competitive athletes, implementing tailored rehabilitation strategies that empower them to recover effectively and safely return to their activities.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current Florida PT license or eligibility to obtain one before your start date.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in sports medicine or orthopedic physical therapy is preferred.
• Certification as a Sports Certified Specialist (SCS) or plans to obtain this certification in the future is highly recommended.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, along with a strong patient-centered approach to care.
• Current CPR/BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience in competitive athletics or advanced training in specific therapeutic techniques will be advantageous. Additional certifications or specialized training related to sports rehabilitation will enhance your qualifications.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and performance.
