Empower Concierge Rehab and PT is actively looking for a dedicated Sports Rehabilitation Physical Therapist (DPT) to join our team in Lake Worth, Florida. Work Environment

This position requires working onsite at patients' homes in Lake Worth, Florida, providing an intimate and supportive environment for rehabilitation. As a Sports Physical Therapist, you will collaborate closely with a diverse healthcare team, including orthopedic surgeons and sports medicine specialists, fostering a multidisciplinary approach to each case.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physical condition and specific needs of athletes and active patients, determining the best course of action for rehabilitation.
• Design and implement customized rehabilitation programs utilizing advanced therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and specific strength training tailored to sports injuries.
• Work collaboratively with orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, and other specialists to create an integrated treatment strategy, facilitating seamless communication between all parties involved in a patient's care.
• Educate patients and their families on injury prevention strategies and performance-enhancement techniques, ensuring they are equipped with knowledge to support long-term wellness and prevent re-injury.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) effectively to document patient progress, adjust treatment plans based on progress, and ensure continuity of care.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives and performance improvement projects to promote sports health and injury prevention, strengthening community ties and enhancing organizational presence.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on athletes and active individuals of varying ages facing an array of orthopedic conditions and sports-related injuries. These may include sprains, strains, tendonitis, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic injuries that affect performance or daily activity. Your expertise will help restore functional movement and optimize performance, guiding each patient through their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• Current Florida PT license or commitment to acquire the license prior to employment start date.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in sports medicine or orthopedic physical therapy, preferably in a clinical setting.
• Certification such as Sports Certified Specialist (SCS) is highly desirable; candidates with plans to obtain certification will also be considered favorably.
• Strong communication skills and an ability to motivate patients, ensuring a patient-centered approach in all interactions.
• CPR/BLS Certification from the American Heart Association required.

Preferred Experience

While experience in sports medicine is necessary, we highly value candidates who possess a strong clinical background in orthopedic physical therapy and demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development. Experience working in home care settings and a familiarity with diverse rehabilitation modalities will also be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits
