Software Engineer Python AI/ML Data Platforms

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with at least 2 years of applied experience
• Practical experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining Python code in a large corporate environment, along with one or more modern programming languages and database query languages
• Experience with observability, including white- and black-box monitoring, service-level objective alerting, and telemetry collection using tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, or Splunk
• Strong understanding of SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, and error budgets
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and resiliency and security expectations
• Experience across the software development life cycle
• Exposure to agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
• Preferred: Experience with Spark data pipelines
• Preferred: Exposure to AWS and Databricks platform administration
• Preferred: Knowledge of containerization and orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes

• Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot software components, considering upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
• Write secure, high-quality code in at least one programming language with limited guidance
• Use enterprise-authorized AI coding assistants and development tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, productivity, and automation; validate outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding practices
• Apply technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and resolve problems of basic complexity
• Gather and analyze diverse, large data sets, draw conclusions, identify problems, and contribute to decisions that support secure, stable application development
