Job Description

The Automotive Technician Automotive Mechanic role involves performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks on light trucks, passenger cars, and mixed fleet vehicles. Working within a small team, this detail-oriented technician focuses on vehicle inspection, diagnostic testing, and routine upkeep without the expectation of overnight or weekend work. The position is a generalist role, requiring versatile skills across various automotive systems to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Inspect vehicles to identify issues and assess repair needs
Perform diagnostic testing to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems
Repair engines, brakes, and electrical systems
Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes and fluid checks
Troubleshoot and resolve vehicle performance issues
Maintain detailed records of repairs and services performed
Collaborate effectively within a small team environment

Preferred Qualifications

1+ years of experience in automotive repair
High School Diploma or equivalent
ASE Certification
Valid Driver's License
Proficient in engine diagnostics and brake systems repair
Experience with electrical systems and suspension repair
Skilled in the use of diagnostic tools
Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities
Effective time management skills
