Litigation Paralegal

Our client is a prominent Am Law defense firm representing sophisticated organizations in complex litigation and employment-related matters. The firm combines the resources and technology of a major national practice with collaborative local teams. About the Role This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigation professional looking to join a sophisticated defense practice with strong resources, complex matters, and long-term professional growth. The position follows a hybrid 3/2 schedule, alternating between three days and two days in the office each week. Responsibilities Assist attorneys with initial case evaluation, case chronologies, pleadings, and organization of client documents. Coordinate written discovery, including drafting discovery requests and responses for attorney review and managing document productions. Assist with depositions by coordinating schedules, preparing outlines and exhibits, issuing subpoenas, and summarizing transcripts. Manage large volumes of case documents and electronic discovery using litigation support and document management platforms. Assist with factual investigations, witness research, public-record searches, and review of employment, medical, and other relevant records. Support trial preparation, including trial binders, exhibits, witness and exhibit lists, motions, jury instructions, and demonstrative materials. Conduct basic legal and medical research, cite checking, and case-related research. Maintain organized and accurate case files throughout the litigation process. Provide post-trial and appellate support as needed. Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, legal support staff, clients, experts, and outside vendors. Qualifications 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience within a law firm or corporate legal department. Strong understanding of the litigation lifecycle, including discovery, depositions, document production, and trial preparation. Defense litigation experience strongly preferred. Trial preparation or direct trial support experience is a plus. Experience managing document-intensive or complex litigation matters. Familiarity with state and federal court procedures. Strong technology skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with litigation support platforms such as Relativity or similar systems preferred. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and competing deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and legal support teams. Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience. Paralegal Certificate preferred.
