W17 - Shipping/Admin Clerk - 2nd Shift

Shifts & Pay Sunday – Wednesday: 4:00 pm – 2:30 am (D Shift) – $23/hr Wednesday – Saturday: 4:00 pm – 2:30 am (E Shift) – $23/hr Monday – Friday: 3:30 pm – 12:00 am – $22/hr Job Purpose Reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and performs shipping and freight operations in a warehouse setting. Maintains accurate shipping documentation, schedules customer orders, and collaborates with the warehouse team to ensure customer satisfaction. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Check in all drivers. Print all pertinent paperwork for shipping. Coordinate with the dock and drivers regarding loading door. Ensure all paperwork is properly signed by pickup driver. Close loads in the system. Coordinate with Customer Service Teams regarding special paperwork for certain orders (e.g., international, special BOLs). Enter customer orders and scan/index documents as required. Understand goals, policies, and procedures of RJW. Communicate customer problems, leads, and inquiries to appropriate personnel. Maintain confidentiality of company information. Recommend improvements and implement approved improvements. Update reports as required by operations manager and COO. Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager. Ability to multitask. Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and ability to learn RJW application software. Qualifications Basic office clerical skills. Typing speed of at least 40 wpm. 1–2 years of clerical experience. Basic transportation, logistics, and shipping experience. Education And/or Experience Required High School Diploma or GED (preferred). Language Skills Sets Effective communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking). Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers. Mathematical Skills Proficiency with addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, rate, ratio, percent, and interpreting bar graphs. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems in varied situations with limited standardization. Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to determine root cause of problems and identify corrective action. Computer Skills Knowledge of business operating systems, internet software, word processing, and spreadsheet software. Experience leading, guiding, and training employees in related work. Physical Demands Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds. Use of keyboard and buttons for phone systems. Speak and communicate clearly over telephone. Work in indoor office environment with repetitive hand motion. Talk, hear, stand, walk frequently. Work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required. Work under stress, maintain accuracy, and concentrate on multiple tasks. Visual acuity of 20/20 corrected vision. Good physical health as determined by physician with no controlled substance use. Work Environment Exposure to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles; noise ranges from quiet to moderately loud.
