Production Supervisor

Title: Production Supervisor
Pay Rate: $28-$42/hr. W2
Location: Slingerlands, NY 12159
Shift: 1 Shift M-F
Duration: 5-6months contract

Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing the daily workflow of the manufacturing team to ensure production goals are met safely, efficiently, and with high-quality standards. This role will assign tasks, monitor production, coach team members, support assembly activities, and help improve overall productivity and quality.


The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Production Supervisor will also work closely with Production Managers, Cell Leaders, Manufacturing Engineering, HR, and other departments to resolve issues and achieve production goals.


Key Responsibilities
Lead daily production activities and assign tasks to team members to meet production schedules and deliverables.
Assist with assembly and manufacturing tasks when needed to maintain production schedules.
Train, coach, and support employees on manufacturing processes, assembly procedures, and quality expectations.
Set team goals and continuously improve production, quality, efficiency, and throughput.
Communicate production expectations and performance with Production Managers and Cell Leaders.
Monitor product quality and address issues that may affect final product testing or customer requirements.
Cross-train employees on different manufacturing and assembly processes to build a flexible and skilled workforce.
Work with Manufacturing Engineering to develop and implement assembly procedures and employee training.
Build strong relationships with other departments and work cross-functionally to resolve production issues.
Lead and maintain 5S activities and promote a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
Work with production scheduling teams to manage material usage, inventory accuracy, and schedule requirements.
Review production data, track performance, and prepare reports as needed.
Ensure all employees follow OSHA requirements, company safety procedures, and facility safety guidelines.
Support employee performance evaluations, recognition programs, and disciplinary activities in partnership with management and HR.
Promote a culture of safety, quality, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
Previous manufacturing or production experience required.
Previous supervisory or team leadership experience highly preferred.
Experience in a technology/product manufacturing environment is a plus.
Knowledge of manufacturing best practices and continuous improvement methods.
Six Sigma certification is preferred but not required.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to analyze production data and identify opportunities for improvement.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
