Description

• Conduct evaluations for patients from pediatric to geriatric populations utilizing both standardized tests and personal observation.
• Create individualized treatment plans designed to meet both immediate and longer-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver targeted speech therapy interventions emphasizing communication, language proficiency, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
• Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and families to devise comprehensive care strategies.
• Educate patients and families to empower them in advancing progress beyond clinical interventions.
• Conduct occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to maintain seamless care continuity.
• Document patient progress and maintain compliance with all state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Stay informed about current advancements in the field through continuous learning and professional collaboration.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• A completed supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
