Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. This position involves providing high-quality patient care within the emergency department and may include floating to multiple locations within the region as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced emergency department environment.
• Triage patients and assess their needs promptly.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and nurse aides, to ensure comprehensive care.
• Manage and administer medications and treatments, including various drips such as insulin, cardiac drips, and critical care medications.
• Monitor patient progress and respond to emergencies effectively.
• Utilize the electronic health record system for documentation and patient management.
• Participate in department orientation and training programs.

Qualifications

• Current RN license.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS.
• Minimum of one year of experience in an emergency department, with a preference for travelers who have completed previous assignments.
• Experience in behavioral health care is highly desirable.

Nurse Ratios

The typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4.

Shift Details

• Shifts are 12 hours, with various start times.
• Every other weekend and some holiday shifts are required.
