The coach will emphasize skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and accountability while ensuring compliance with all school, district, and state athletic regulations. Key Responsibilities Program Leadership Plan, organize, and supervise all practices, games, and team activities Develop and implement a comprehensive basketball program aligned with the school’s mission Instruct student-athletes in fundamental and advanced basketball skills, tactics, and conditioning Student-Athlete Development Promote academic success and monitor eligibility of all players Foster leadership, discipline, respect, and teamwork Create a positive, safe, and inclusive team environment Game & Practice Management Design and execute effective practice plans and seasonal schedules Prepare the team for competition through scouting and game strategy Supervise athletes during practices, competitions, and team travel Compliance & Administration Adhere to all district, conference, and state athletic association policies Maintain accurate records (rosters, statistics, equipment inventory, etc.) Communicate regularly with administration, parents, and student-athletes Program Support Manage equipment and uniform distribution/collection Support fundraising efforts and promote the soccer program Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development\ Qualifications Previous basketball coaching or playing experience preferred Knowledge of basketball rules, techniques, and game strategies Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to effectively mentor high school/early college student-athletes CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Must meet all district and state coaching requirements Working Conditions Availability for after-school practices, games, and occasional weekends Travel required for away competitions Ability to demonstrate soccer skills and actively participate in practices Position Type: Part-Time Job Requirements At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred. High School/Trade School degree preferred.
