Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a real difference in the lives of students throughout Lehigh and Carbon Counties for the 2026–2027 school year. Various paraprofessional positions are available in multiple school sites, supporting programs such as Multiple Disabilities Support, Enhanced Autistic Support, and Emotional Support. Placement will be matched to district needs and, when possible, your preference.

Assignments run from August 10, 2026, through June 11, 2027, with limited summer hours initially and full school schedules starting later in August. You’ll support students in dynamic classroom environments, help foster independence, and positively impact the daily educational journey.

What We’re Looking For:

• 1+ years’ experience as a paraprofessional in a school or special education setting
• Ability to commute within 35 minutes to assigned school sites
• Availability for a school-day schedule, typically between 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM
• Ability to meet at least one of the following:
  • 48+ college credits (two years of post-secondary study)
  • Associate degree or higher
  • Pass a qualifying assessment (CDA or Credential of Competency for Special Education Paraeducators)
• Completion of the state-required para certification process within 60 days of hire (if not already certified)
• References from two supervisory roles as a paraprofessional

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide classroom support to students with diverse learning and behavioral needs
• Assist with daily routines, therapeutic activities, and academic progress
• Engage in compassionate and effective behavior intervention, including physical support when needed
• Maintain punctual, consistent attendance and demonstrate flexibility as assignments may change based on ongoing needs
