As the primary interface with the customer, the Teller exhibits a professional, business-like appearance and demeanor while assisting customers with financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and check cashing. Additional duties include keeping accurate records of all transactions, counting cash, answering phones, filing, and collecting payments. Tellers have an in-depth understanding of the bank’s systems and possess keyboarding and data entry skills necessary to perform daily tasks.STATEMENT OF EXPECTATIONSChickasaw Community Bank (CCB) expects all employees to comply with the responsibilities of their assigned position to the highest degree of performance. Expectations include but are not limited to:Adhere to the bank’s policies and support management decisions and goals in a positive, professional mannerRepresent CCB with a high level of integrity and professionalismMaintain knowledge and understanding of banking rules, regulations, laws, and all policies and proceduresFollow established policies, systems and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory laws, guidance and internal policiesKnowledge of applicable bank software, programs, and proceduresDemonstrate a willingness to adapt to changing business needs and deadlinesPossess a work ethic that includes neatness and punctualityAnswer all voicemails and emails within 24 hours of receiptConfer with management concerning questions, procedures, necessary information, forms completion, and problem resolutionsComplete and attend all required CCB trainingMaintain satisfactory attendanceResponsible for: completing timecard each day worked; communicating leave requests or timecard corrections to supervisor as needed; and reviewing timecard on a regular basis to ensure that it is complete and correct prior to payroll processingComplete Digital University and all other training courses as assignedESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSGreet and direct customers.Provide assistance in completing financial transactions.Balance cash drawer at the end of each day.Scan work.Maintain minimum cash levels and controls as outlined in the security program.Answer phone and assists customers with inquiries, direct customers to proper departments as necessary.Cross sell products and services; direct customers to proper departments as necessary.Process Mail.Assist with mailing mortgage payments.Process night drop deposits/payments.Maintain logs.Provide assistance in completing different types of financial transactions such as: cashing checks, making deposits, savings, disbursing funds, selling cashier’s checks, cash advances and redeeming bonds, loan payments, CTR’s, stop payments, holds, memo posting and transfers.Explain features and benefits of debit cards, online banking, bill pay, mobile banking, remote deposit capture, merchant services, and other bank services. Gather appropriate documentation where necessary.Assist when needed to count coin, verify currency, shred, and other tasks such as filing and copying.Balance ATM(s).Keep work area neat and organized.Weekly cleaning of teller area, wiping down ATM and drive-thru tubes and night deposit area.The Employee may be required to cross-train and perform duties in other areas of the bank, including opening new accounts and other operational functions, as needed to support business objectives, customer service standards, and staffing needs.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIESAct as back-up for Receptionist as needed.Assists department with special projects.Perform other duties as assigned.PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThis work is sedentary and requires the following physical activities:Sitting for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, and visual acuity.Frequent lifting (up to 10 pounds of paper supplies or minor office equipment).NOTE: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by an employee in this position. These statements are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required of employees in this position.ENVIRONMENT AND INTERACTIONNormal office environment.Reports To: Retail Banking ManagerPROFICIENCIESGood written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person and over the phone.Basic word processing and computer database skills.Knowledge of mathematical principals.Ability to learn and navigate computer systems and websites necessary to complete job description and other duties as assigned.Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work with individuals and groups at all organization levels; ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks; good time-management, organizational, problem-prevention and problem-solving skills.Knowledge and understanding of banking rules, regulations, laws and all policies and procedures pertaining to them including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act.Ability to work accurately with close attention to detail.Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.Ability to learn products, services and procedures quickly and accurately; explain concepts clearly to customers.Ability to establish credibility and rapport, be friendly and personable and look for ways to benefit the customer.Understand how to present features and benefits of products and services to customer’s needs.Must be self-motivated, assertive, and perform well in a team environment.Must be organized and maintain a positive demeanor in all situations.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or equivalent.Cash handling and customer service experience required, preferred.Must be 18 years of age. #J-18808-Ljbffr
