We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time opportunity in Greenwood, SC for the 2026–2027 school year .
Position Details
This priority opening is for an Extended Resource/Self-Contained classroom serving K4–5th grade students. The caseload consists of approximately 8–12 students with the support of one classroom assistant . Some students receive instruction throughout the school day, while others attend for supplemental ELA and/or Math instruction.
Qualifications
- Active South Carolina Special Education certification
- Experience in resource and/or self-contained settings preferred
- Strong collaboration and classroom management skills
- Ability to provide individualized instruction and support
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement IEPs
- Provide direct and supplemental instruction
- Monitor student progress and maintain documentation
- Collaborate with school staff and families
- Ensure compliance with state and district special education guidelines
