Shipping And Receiving Clerk

A Shipping And Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving incoming materials, preparing outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring products are handled accurately and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments.
• Compare shipments with purchase orders, invoices, and packing slips.
• Prepare, package, label, and ship customer orders.
• Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment.
• Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
• Enter shipment information into computer systems.
• Identify damaged, missing, or incorrect items and report discrepancies.
• Coordinate with vendors, customers, delivery drivers, and internal departments.
• Organize products and maintain a clean and safe warehouse area.
• Follow company safety procedures and shipping regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or inventory experience is a plus.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and move packages and materials.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Forklift experience or certification may be required or preferred.
