The Kitchen Manager will oversee a small team of 1-5 staff members in a casual dining environment, ensuring smooth kitchen operations and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. This role involves staff supervision, inventory oversight, menu planning, and budget management, using standard POS systems and manual record keeping. The Kitchen Manager will drive training and development efforts to foster a productive and compliant kitchen team without any travel requirements.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations
- Manage inventory to maintain adequate stock and minimize waste
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Plan menus that align with casual dining preferences
- Oversee budgeting and control food costs
- Maintain quality control for food preparation and presentation
- Implement staff training and development programs
- Create and manage staff schedules effectively
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in kitchen management
