Creative Assistant

Primary Role


Crossroads Community Church is seeking a Creative Assistant to support the Creative Team with various tasks, including the creation of compelling visual content across social media. In this role, the candidate will blend administrative skills with creative execution-helping to turn innovative ideas into engaging, on-brand content across all digital and social media platforms. They will help shape the visual voice of our church, reflecting our mission with excellence.


This position will administer all related functions of the position ensuring that they are carried out timely and efficiently in accordance with company policies, procedures and work practices. The right candidate will have a strong sense of ownership and bias for action, be customer-service oriented, and have the ability to meet tight deadlines.


Skills & Background

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required, degree in a related field preferred
• Two or more years of experience and related education or equivalent (preferred)
• Volunteer church experience for a minimum of two years (5 years preferred).
• Skilled in compiling and preparing content for social media including image quotes, Instagram posts, reels, and Service Snippets.
• Ability to create social media graphics and posts using Canva while maintaining consistency with church branding and messaging.
• Must have ability to schedule and publish posts primarily through Meta platforms with social media calendar in line with current brand strategies
• Proficiency with computer skills and preferred experience with programs such as:
  • Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel,) Email, Planning Center, Google docs, MailChimp.
• Must possess proficient ability to communicate in English in oral and written format.
• Superb communications skills are required: you must be confident, able to listen to needs, and suggest ideas and solutions.
• Develop, recruit, train and nurture a dedicated volunteer base.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Task and detail-oriented (high quality, accurate and efficient).
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing, researching and entering data.
• Ability to apply discretion and trust with confidential material.
• Exercise initiative in problem solving and demonstrate ability to maintain composure and work effectively in demanding situations.
• Must have excellent organizational skills; with a focus driven heart.
• Must be able to move at a fast pace with tasks and stay organized.
• Develop and maintain a tracking pipeline system for onboarding of new volunteers and ministry connections.
• Assist in administrative duties in preparation for weekly services and events.
• Pray for the ministry and God's work throughout it!
• Crossroads attendance & participation for a minimum of one year (preferred but not required).

Benefits

Part-time positions (employees working 20 hours or more per week but less than 30 hours per week) at Crossroads Community Church do not qualify for medical, dental, or vision benefits, but are eligible for other benefits (life insurance, long-term disability, and additional life insurance) and paid time off (PTO) (first of the month following 60 days), nine paid holidays per year and immediate participation in the 403b plan, which includes a generous 4% employer match.
