Senior Manager, R&D Strategic Resourcing

AbbVie seeks a Senior Manager for R&D Strategic Resourcing to oversee global resource planning, budgeting, and allocation across the research division. The role involves forecasting staffing needs, managing portfolio timelines, and partnering with functional leaders to align resources with strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Forecast and manage resources and budgets for short and long-term planning across R&D
- Develop strategic recommendations and partner with functional leaders on resource and financial planning
- Provide portfolio timeline and cost estimates to assess resources and identify financial opportunities
- Partner with VPs to develop departmental goals and lead strategic business decisions
- Establish and maintain tools, processes, and stakeholder relationships to support departmental objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, MBA) preferred
- 4+ years experience in competitive pharmaceutical R&D or top-tier management consulting
- Experience managing large projects within complex matrixed organizations
- Demonstrated ability to present metrics and data to executive leadership
- Proven facilitative leadership and influence in cross-functional global teams
- Strong analytical skills with ability to evaluate complex issues from multiple perspectives
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
