Summary Of The Position Asset Management focuses on asset strategy, business plan development and execution, investment performance, investment decision analysis, lease analysis, redevelopment management, and refinancing/disposition analysis within the operating portfolio. The associate will be involved with quantitative financial modeling, asset performance analysis, developing business plans, and reporting for our multifamily portfolio. The role supports the Residential Asset Management team and will collaborate in a dynamic team environment and interact with teams across our core functions, including, but not limited to: portfolio management, acquisitions, development, capital markets, property management, corporate strategy, innovation, design and construction, and leasing. Key Responsibilities Provide analytical support to assist with the asset management function of existing properties, including quarterly valuations, cash management, hold/sell analyses, and other ad hoc sensitivity analyses. Complete market research – through third‑party data providers and communication with local brokers – to compile relevant lease comparable, sale comparable, competitive sets, development pipelines, and general market data. Prepare presentation materials and proposals with responsibility for written and graphic requirements. Annual budgeting and reforecasting in coordination with property management, design & construction, leasing and accounting teams. Execute on or establish an asset’s business plan; coordinate with investment partners and participate in meetings with internal teams as well as third‑party consultants, such as architects, engineers, and marketing agencies, in furtherance of the asset’s business plan. Managing refinancing and disposition activities, as they arise. Analyze and manage tracking of various ongoing capital projects in coordination with design & construction teams and property management. Provide monthly investment reporting, including evaluating operational performance, identifying key risks, tracking business plan execution, and providing asset‑level commentary. Support the team with lender reporting responsibilities, including coordination of reporting requirements and maintaining compliance with debt covenants. Skills & Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in an analytically rigorous Real Estate or Finance environment. Evident passion for real estate and desire to build a career on the principal side. Strong financial acumen, including experience analyzing property financial statements. Strong creative problem‑solving skills. Effective written and oral communication skills. Proficient in Excel, ARGUS Enterprise, and financial modeling. The ability to work effectively with both peers and senior executives in a highly entrepreneurial, team‑oriented environment. Unwavering attention to detail. Willingness to travel to assets as needed. Location: San Francisco, CA Base compensation range: $115,000 – $130,000.
