SLEEP TECH

Chicago ENT's Sleep Technologists work closely with our Sleep Medicine Director to conduct overnight, daytime, or home sleep studies on patients with known or suspected sleep disorders. This involves diagnostic and therapeutic services in conjunction with patient care and education. The role reports to the Lead Sleep Tech and is located at our Skokie, Peterson, and St. Elizabeth sites. Wage $25‑$35 per hour, depending on experience. Primary Responsibilities Prepare and calibrate equipment required for testing. Ensure all instrumentation is functioning and adjust if necessary. Apply electrodes and sensors according to accepted published standards. Perform appropriate physiologic calibrations to ensure proper signals and make adjustments if necessary. Perform positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fitting. Educate and assist patients throughout the night to ensure excellent patient care. Monitor and document throughout the night, preferably at a 30‑minute interval, to ensure comprehensive and quality recording for the ordering physician. Work professionally with team members. Perform pediatric and adult testing. Willingness to travel to selected facilities within the Chicagoland area. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: Able to work and trouble‑shoot independently. Excellent customer service skills and a high level of professionalism. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred: Pediatric experience. Multilingual, especially Spanish speaking. One to five years of clinical experience. Versed on Natus/Embla/Sandman equipment. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibility. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Registered Sleep Technologist (RPSGT/RST). RPSGT‑Eligible candidates. Required to pass exam within three months of hire. The cost of the exam is covered by the employer if passed. Exam material costs are split with the employer if passed. CPR certified. All employees are required to provide proof of vaccination or exemption. A valid driver’s license is preferred.
