Staff Accountant (Hybrid)

**Job Description:**At National Church Residences, we believe every senior should lead a vibrant, healthy, and independent life. In addition to residential senior communities, we offer home and community-based services and permanent supportive housing for formerly homeless and disabled individuals. As a Staff Accountant in our Housing Accounting team, you will be responsible for producing accurate and timely financial statements. This includes taking the source information provided by various operating entries, recording accurate journal entries to produce a set of financial statements that are accurate, and preparing the operation schedules for the fiscal year-end audit. Typical Responsibilities and Duties include: • Assist with completion of Preliminary financials. • Complete final financials • Assist with completion of Audited Financial Statements for assigned properties • Complete and distribute ABC reports to appropriate HUD office by deadline • Calculate PILOT tax amounts • Create and maintain thorough documentation for all major processes and procedures • Generate Print and distribute all financial statements and GL posting reports • Maintain Fixed Asset Database • Reconcile reserve Accounts • Reviews source data information to produce accurate journal entries. • • Enters journal entries into the computer with a timely and accurate manner. • Reviews the financial statements for accuracy • Completes bank reconciliations. • Updates the audit schedules monthly. • Reports on the training of those providing source documentation monthly. • Reports the deficiencies in internal control monthly. • Performs other related duties as assigned **Education:** Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. **Experience:** None required, one year of accounting experience preferred. **Skills:*** Must have strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to understand and make oneself understood in English.* Must have ability to comprehend complex concepts.* Must have the ability to work well with others in a collaborative, team environment.**Licensure:** None required. **In return, National Church Residences offers an excellent total reward package that includes:*** **Medical & Rx** – 3 plan options to fit your budget; choose from coverage offered through a Nationwide network for you and your family + Complimented with a **Healthcare Flexible Spending Account** or **Employer funded Health Savings Account** + Includes **Fertility & Family Building Support**, **Weight Management**, and **Chronic Condition Support** + **Parental Leave paid at 100%** for four weeks + **Coverage begins first of the month following your date of hire!*** **Dental** & **Vision** coverage for you and your family with Nationwide providers.* **Company provided** **Life & ADD** insurance and **Disability** coverage.* **Supplemental benefits** such as **Life and AD&D** for you and your family, **Accident Insurance**, **Hospital Indemnity**, and **Critical Illness.*** **Flexible Spending Accounts** for Dependent Care and Transportation & Parking* **Well-being Programs** including an enhanced EAP with **mental health and work-life support**, **tobacco cessation**, and **Well-Being Your Way** which offers up to **$1000/year in rewards & reimbursements**!* **Retirement Savings Plan** offering **immediate company funding at 3%, increasing up to 5% over time** and an ***additional*****company match up to 5%** when you contribute your own funds!* Reimbursement for Tuition expenses* Paid Time Off (**PTO**), **9 paid Holidays and Parental Paid Leave at 100%***(Programs vary depending on Full Time, Part Time or Contingent Status)* #LI-TS1
