Staff Accountant

Our clients count on us because we're responsive, resourceful, and genuinely invested in their success. Position Overview The Staff Accountant will own the company's day-to-day accounting operations. This role will manage AP and AR, perform account reconciliations, maintain the general ledger, support month-end and year-end close activities, and prepare financial reports. Key Responsibilities Maintain the general ledger and financial records in QuickBooks Online. Process AP end-to-end: invoice verification, coding, approvals, and payment processing. Manage AR: including invoicing, posting customer payments, monitoring outstanding balances, and following up on past-due accounts. Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and payroll accounts monthly, and resolve discrepancies. Classify costs correctly between COGS and operating expenses, in the right period. Prepare and post routine and adjusting journal entries. Support monthly and year-end close activities, including account reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and financial statement preparation. Assist with tax preparation, budgeting, and other financial projects. Minimum Requirements Minimum 3 years of accounting, staff accounting, or full-cycle bookkeeping experience. High School diploma or equivalent. Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel, including formulas, PivotTables, data analysis, and financial reporting. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices (general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial statements). Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank and credit card reconciliations, and month-end close. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, and work independently while following established procedures.
