Senior Accountant A high-impact opportunity for a CPA or public accounting professional ready to step into a strategic finance role. About the Opportunity Banyan Search is partnering with a well-established, growth-oriented company to find a sharp Senior Accountant ready to make an impact. This isn't just a close-the-books role - it's a seat at the table where your analysis and insights will directly inform leadership decisions. With a hybrid schedule (just two days in office per week), you'll enjoy the flexibility of remote work without sacrificing the collaboration and visibility that come with being part of a dynamic finance team. If you're a CPA, a current or former public accounting professional, or a corporate accountant with strong GAAP instincts and a desire to stretch into budgeting and strategic analysis - this is your opportunity. What You'll Do
Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without current or future sponsorship requirements.
- Own the monthly close process, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Drive corporate expense budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Deliver meaningful financial insights to senior leadership - not just numbers, but the story behind them
- Prepare ad hoc financial analysis and reporting in support of key business decisions
- Partner cross-functionally with business stakeholders on planning and reporting initiatives
- Champion process improvements that increase accuracy, efficiency, and close cycle speed
- Support budgeting and planning system maintenance and enhancements
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and GAAP standards
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of accounting experience; public accounting background strongly preferred
- CPA license (or active candidate) highly valued
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with ERP/accounting systems
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to communicate financial results clearly
- Experience with budgeting or FP&A tools is a plus
