Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant works closely with finance leadership with main responsibilities including analyzing the financial performance of the business units, maintaining general ledger account reconciliations, and assisting management with projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Duties/Responsibilities: Performs general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization. Implementation and monitoring of finance and accounting policy changes. Assistance in the timely preparation of monthly Balance Sheets, Income Statements, and Cash Flow statements. Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. Review account reconciliations prepared by accounting team and ensure timely completion of reconciliations on a monthly basis. Prepare documentation for external auditors. Assist in designing and developing processes and reports to support KPI dashboard reporting. Assist in business filings, including tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies. Assist and lead ad hoc strategic and operational projects as required. Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Working knowledge of US GAAP and cost accounting. Highly proficient experience in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, Masters and/or CPA a plus. Blend of 3-5 years private and public accounting experience. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Travel Requirements: Infrequent, but up to 10%. Hybrid Remote.
