Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Machinist to set up and operate a variety of computer numerical control (CNC) and manual machine tools to produce precision metal parts. In this role, you will read technical blueprints, calculate dimensions, and maintain close tolerances to deliver high-quality components. You will monitor machine operations, perform routine maintenance, and inspect finished products to ensure they meet strict manufacturing specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical schematics.
• Set up, calibrate, and operate conventional and machinery such as mills, lathes, and grinders.
• Select, align, and secure appropriate cutting tools, attachments, and raw materials.
• Monitor machine operations and make real-time adjustments to speed, feed rates, and tooling.
• Perform quality control inspections using precision measurement instruments like micrometers and calipers.
• Inspect finished parts to verify dimensions against tight tolerance specifications.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on machining equipment.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace by following all shop safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Machinist operating manual machines.
• Strong knowledge of metal properties, machining mechanics, and cutting tools.
• Ability to accurately read blueprints, geometric dimensioning, and tolerances (GD&T).
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Basic mathematical skills and mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting setup issues.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or completion of an apprenticeship is preferred.
