Job Description:

Glens Falls Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Oncology Department. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced outpatient infusion setting, administering treatments such as IV chemotherapy, blood transfusions, and supportive therapies for oncology patients. This role requires excellent clinical skills, ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team, and a commitment to patient safety and comfort.


Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy, IV antibiotics, and other infusion therapies according to physician orders.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition throughout treatments.
• Educate patients on medication administration and post-infusion care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with safety protocols.
• Assist with managing central lines and PICC lines.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment complying with all infection control standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Valid NY State RN license.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in oncology infusion or similar specialty.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• De-escalation training completed from Welle, CPI, or PMCS.
• Ability to pass a 14-panel drug screen within 24 hours of offer acceptance.
• New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate.

Schedule:

• Days, full-time hours.

Hourly Pay Rate: $60.30

Additional Requirements:

• Effective immediately, please include your New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate with all submissions.
• Confirm availability for the 14-panel drug screen within 24 hours of offer acceptance.
• All new and returning staff must have de-escalation training as part of onboarding, from approved providers.
• RTO requests should be noted at upload; requests after upload will not be approved. No more than 5 days of RTO is acceptable.
