Locum Physician (MD/DO) - Urology in Salem, VA

Doctor of Medicine | Urology Location: Salem, VA Employer: AAS Locum Tenens Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position We are seeking an experienced Locums Urology Physician to provide 24-hour hospital and emergency department call coverage in Salem, Virginia. This role involves managing inpatient and ED consults, performing urgent urologic procedures as needed, and responding promptly to call backs with a 20-minute response time. The ideal candidate will be board certified or board eligible, with active licensure and strong urologic clinical skills. Assignment Details: Schedule: 24-hour call coverage Patient Volume: Approximately 28 patients per day Patient Population: Adults Call Response: 20 minutes EMR: Electronic charting/dictation system (facility-provided) Key Responsibilities: Provide 24-hour urology call coverage, including inpatient and ED consults. Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a variety of acute and urgent urologic conditions. Perform urologic procedures and interventions as required. Collaborate with ED physicians, hospitalists, and specialists to ensure coordinated patient care. Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the EMR system.
