About the Position

• Perform respiratory assessments and develop patient-specific care plans.
• Administer oxygen therapy and aerosolized medications using devices such as bag-mask, ET tube, HFNC, T-piece, and trach collars.
• Manage and troubleshoot ventilators (Hamilton, Servo-U, NKV330, Airvo2, Dream Machines, V30’s).
• Conduct arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and analyze results for treatment adjustments.
• Assist with intubation and extubation procedures and maintain tracheostomy care.
• Wean patients from mechanical ventilation as clinically appropriate.
• Perform pulmonary hygiene and airway clearance therapies.
• Respond to emergency codes and provide critical care interventions in ICU and ED settings.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and ensure compliance with facility protocols.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies and home care techniques.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and BLS – Required
• Experience: Minimum 1 year in respiratory therapy
• Preferred Experience: Acute, LTAC, and trauma hospital settings
• Patient Ratio: 1:20
• Charting System: Epic (preferred)
• Call Requirement: 1 night every other week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Scrubs: Any shade of gray or gray/black combination
