Job Description

As an Airport Security Officer: Patrol Driver Customer Assistance in Kahului, HI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government airport location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support security-related operations, and provide outstanding customer service to travelers and staff. Requirements: 

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 21+ years of age

• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently

• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

 

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, airport personnel, and/or stakeholders by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate airport personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of terminal areas, parking facilities, access points, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activities throughout assigned areas, reporting suspicious conditions, hazards, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation related to incidents, patrols, and daily activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
