Job Details Location: Hattiesburg Plant - Hattiesburg, MS 39401 Title: Human Resources Manager Job Description The principal challenge of this position is to support the articulation and implementation of the local HR and Organizational Development strategy and initiatives to positively impact the different areas of the organization. This will be accomplished by delivering and developing adequate talent across the organization, motivating and retaining key talent through improved HR/OD processes. Leadership development is encouraged at all organizational levels. The role also helps the management team accomplish business goals by developing new systems, processes, and people that contribute to the business plan, evaluating employee relations and HR policies, programs, and practices, ensuring employment compliance and regulatory concerns, and overseeing employee onboarding, development, needs assessment, and training. The Human Resources Manager originates and leads HR practices and objectives that foster an employee‑oriented, high‑performance culture emphasizing empowerment, quality, productivity, and standards. The manager supports the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce, deploys processes and metrics that align with business objectives, and reports to the Global VP of HR with a dotted functional line to the Plant Manager. Duties and Responsibilities Administer various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel; assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepare and maintain employee handbook and policies and procedures manual. Communicate clearly in English, both verbally and written. Wear appropriate safety gear and maintain a safe work environment. Attend work regularly and reliably, work flexible hours as required. Provide on‑shift or out‑of‑shift training relative to specific functions. Conform to company performance rules, work instructions, working standards, policies, and behavioral expectations. Analyze shift or plant performance data relative to functional specialty, provide assessments of opportunity to shift leaders or managers. Facilitate employee adherence to departmental requirements. Support and participate in plant quality improvement and cost reduction programs. Demonstrate awareness of and compliance with all safety policies and procedures. Maintain a professional, clean, and organized work environment. Participate in work‑related training programs. Use visual acuity to perform computer tasks, read and develop spreadsheets, read financial data. Travel without assistance as required for the role. Participate in meetings and discussions with peers and management, interact with employees in multiple locations and settings. Assist in evaluating reports, decisions, and results of the department relative to established goals; recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to continuously improve efficiency. Maintain HR information system records and compile reports from the database. Perform other related duties as required and assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities 0–1 direct reports. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of 5 years of direct experience in the Human Resources field. The ability to interact and influence others at different organizational levels, promoting effective working relationships. Demonstrated competence in successfully implementing organizational effectiveness projects. Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Minimal travel is expected for this position.
