Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients by utilizing a variety of diagnostic tests, including range of motion assessments, strength evaluations, and functional capabilities analysis, to accurately determine their impairments and design effective treatment plans.
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment protocols that align with patient goals and physician recommendations, ensuring adjustments are made as necessary based on patient progress and feedback.
• Provide hands-on patient care, employing a range of therapeutic techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as heat and cold treatments, to address physical impairments and pain management.
• Educate patients, their families, and caregivers on self-management techniques, rehabilitation exercises, and home programs designed to enhance recovery and maintain optimal health.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to share insights regarding treatment efficacy, patient progress, and necessary alterations to continue effective therapy.
• Oversee the work of physical therapy aides and support staff, ensuring that patient treatments performed by non-professionals adhere to quality standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role, you will primarily serve orthopedic patients, guiding individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and various musculoskeletal conditions. You will also have the opportunity to work with patients managing chronic pain and neurological conditions, ensuring a holistic approach to rehabilitation that enhances their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program and current licensure in the State of California.
• A minimum of three years of professional experience specifically focused on orthopedic physical rehabilitation, demonstrating a strong foundation in treatment methodologies.
• A clean professional record without any disciplinary actions against your license.
• Proven expertise in manual therapy techniques and the ability to design and implement effective exercise strategies.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrable skills in using modern therapeutic modalities and technologies during treatment.
• Experience with patient education, particularly in creating and delivering home exercise plans.

Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, complemented by a robust benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off and opportunities for continuing education.
