If you enjoy solving problems and working with big data, you’ll thrive in this collaborative and innovative environment.As a Quant Analytics Associate Senior within the POS Capabilities team you will join a forward thinking team that seeks to prevent plastics fraud through innovating analytics, advancing machine learning models, and modernizing authorization platforms. Work with cross line of business partners to drive benefits in all aspects of fraud prevention through advancing technology capabilities, identifying new data sources, and improving analytic techniques. The ideal candidate should be a self-driven problem solver that is capable of analyzing big data, understanding complex systems, identifying opportunities, creating solutions and leading large scale projectsJob ResponsibilitiesUnderstand the full lifecycle of a point of sale transaction, identify improvement opportunities and execute on themContribute to key technical projects by making design recommendations and ensuring that all business needs are metBuild, develop and maintain new capabilities that support fraud decisioning rules, data models, KPI monitoring and reporting, performance metrics systems and data automation systemsPartner with the Consumer and Community Banking (CCB) Risk Modeling team to advance our machine learning models by improving modeling techniques, identifying new variables, and improving the model update cycleSeek to improve internal analytical techniques and introduce best practices to help improve on key business metric and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional partners to understand and address key business challengesIdentify business opportunity by performing well thought analysis – data mining, ensuring data integrity, synthesizing, and communication findings to senior managementProvide clear and concise oral and written communication across various functions and levels, inclusive of the broader fraud strategy team and cross-functional teams, including interpreting large amounts of complex data to formulate problem statement, concise conclusions regarding underlying risk dynamics, trends, and opportunities as well as performing ad hoc analysis and deliver updates on key projects to leadership teams Stay on top of the industry trends and adopt industry best practicesRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skillsMS degree with 5+ years Risk Management or other quantitative experience Excellent collaboration and partnership skills with proven track record in working well with internal teams and external partnersProven track record in solving business problems, and/or Project Management Skills -- well-organized, structured approach.
