Freedom Portfolio Strategy - Senior Associate

The Freedom product team is responsible for managing the Freedom Flex, Freedom Unlimited, Freedom Rise and legacy Freedom card portfolios, Chase’s flagship, proprietary cash back products. In this role, you will drive the strategy and execution of Freedom's Quarterly Customer Engagement Program (QCEP). The QCEP program offers Freedom Flex and Chase Freedom (Legacy) customers the opportunity to earn 5% cash back on popular rotating quarterly categories and merchants. You will balance financial performance, customer sentiment, and business goals to drive program engagement. Job Summary: As the part of the portfolio strategy team for Freedom products, you will be responsible to partner across the organization to influence and inform customer experiences for the segment. The relationships you build and develop with a broad variety of teams across our marketing, data and analytics, finance, insights, and product, etc. organizations will be key to success. Using your data analysis skills, strategy experience, customer mindset, and customer insights, you will quantify opportunities and work across the team and with partners to support and optimize the program. To be successful, you are an accomplished strategist, are good with data and analytics, and have a background in the credit card industry. You are just as capable with product strategy as P&Ls and understand the industry, segment customers, and card economics. You have experience in consulting roles or product strategy teams. You are comfortable utilizing both Excel as PowerPoint and know how data and information become a compelling storyline.Job responsibilities: Monitor QCEP program performance against KPIs and continuously refine strategy based on resultsLeverage quantitative analysis and customer insights to identify, size, and prioritize growth and optimization opportunitiesTranslate customer needs and strategic priorities into clear program objectives, requirements, and success metricsDrive QCEP category and merchant-offer strategy, translating insights into a forward-looking offer calendarBuild and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships across Marketing, Data & Analytics, Finance, Insights, Product, and other stakeholder teams to drive program successPartner with Corporate Development to support contract negotiations for merchant partnersServe as the point of contact with external merchants for campaign planning and execution needs, ensuring alignment on objectives and requirementsDevelop and validate merchant/transaction eligibility logic to ensure accurate capture and measurement of qualified activityIdentify and pursue areas of opportunity and test new activation placements and distribution channels to expand reach and engagementCollaborate with Legal and Compliance to enable QCEP customer experience (CX) enhancements and ensure controls/approvals processes are metWork with the Digital Customer Experience (DCE) team to enhance the QCEP activation journey and reduce customer frictionMeasure and monitor the impact of CX enhancements using KPIs to drive iterative optimizationOwn the QCEP budget, including vendor contract needs and invoice managementPartner closely with the Marketing Execution team to ensure campaigns reflect the program vision, and to drive ongoing optimization—while maintaining a primary focus on strategy, analytics, and financial rigorRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills: Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insightsStrategic mindset with familiarity in card economics and segment dynamicsCollaborative, inclusive working style with a bias for actionAbility to manage multiple initiatives and prioritize effectivelyStrong communication skills with proficiency in PowerPoint Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills: Ability to influence across teams without direct authority and build strong partnershipsDemonstrated focus on quantifiable outcomes for customers and the businessConsulting or product strategy experience Comfort navigating complex organizations and driving alignmentAdvanced problem-solving and planning skillsChase is a leading financial services firm, helping nearly half of America’s households and small businesses achieve their financial goals through a broad range of financial products.
