Both courses have played host to TOUR events with The Oaks course serving as the host venue of the PGA TOUR's Valero Texas Open since 2010.Tee up your career as a part of our team with the TPC Network!The Preventative Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting the Equipment Manager and Equipment Technicians in performing routine preventative maintenance and general repairs on Golf Course Maintenance equipment.QualificationsHigh school education diploma or equivalent, trade schools or secondary education or equivalent experienceKnowledge of basic engine mechanics and maintenanceWorking knowledge of golf course operations and practices helpfulBe 18 years old and be able to operate a motor vehicle and hold a valid driver's licenseResponsibilities/DutiesAssists the Equipment Manager and Equipment Technicians in appropriate preventative and curative maintenance required for all golf course equipment maintenance operationsCompletes daily service recordsAssist with maintaining appropriate parts inventoryMaintains shop area in a neat and orderly manner, ensuring that the equipment is kept clean, organized, and provides a safe working environment for staff membersMust be thoroughly trained in the proper procedures of each task before performing such tasks. Must follow the guidelines in the Golf Course Maintenance Operations Manual for each specific taskRequired to wear personal protective clothing and/or use protective equipment to comply with established safety operating standardsPhysical Demands and Working EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a variety of outdoor weather conditions. Position is very active and requires lifting, pulling or pushing up to or over 50 pounds, moving and/or lift items with awkward weights.
