Job Description

Job Summary:
The Mammography Technologist performs diagnostic and screening mammographic examinations, ensuring compliance with ACR standards. They assist with breast ultrasound, stereotactic biopsy, localization, and other radiologic guided procedures, providing high-quality imaging for diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities:

• Execute mammography procedures on adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients with precision and professionalism.
• Assist with breast ultrasound, stereotactic biopsies, localizations, and ultrasound-guided procedures.
• Select appropriate technical factors, operate imaging equipment, and utilize immobilization devices according to patient needs.
• Ensure accurate identification and documentation of patient films, including markings and annotations.
• Develop exposed films using approved processing methods and maintain quality control protocols.
• Document procedures, quality assurance activities, and patient information in compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid ARRT certification in Mammography.
• Possess a Diagnostic Radiography License and be prepared to obtain mammography certification within three months of employment.
• Have at least 2 years of experience as a licensed Mammography Technologist.
• Be a graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Demonstrate proficiency in breast imaging procedures, patient care, and quality assurance protocols.
