Your focus will be primarily on elementary students, with some middle school students included in your caseload. You will collaborate with colleagues, families, and staff to support students’ academic and personal growth, utilizing your expertise to foster an inclusive, positive learning environment.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid LBS1 Professional Educator License (PEL) required
• Previous experience teaching special education preferred
• Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and compliance
• Strong skills in differentiating instruction and classroom management
• Comfort working with diverse learning needs across elementary and middle school levels
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, families, and team members
• Committed to onsite instruction throughout the duration of the contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver individualized instruction tailored to student IEPs
• Monitor progress and maintain accurate, thorough documentation
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Participate actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
• Foster a positive, nurturing learning environment supporting all students
• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers about student growth
