Litigation Paralegal

A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal / Legal Assistant to join its New York office. This position will support a busy plaintiff-side litigation practice and is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing a high volume of active matters.

The role will assist attorneys throughout the litigation lifecycle, including case initiation, discovery, document preparation, case management, calendaring, client communication, and trial preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage litigation matters and maintain organized case files
• Draft and assist with pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, correspondence, and related legal documents
• Review and summarize medical, legal, and other case-related records
• Conduct investigative research and gather relevant case information
• Maintain calendars, deadlines, and case-related data
• Communicate with clients, attorneys, and outside parties
• Handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced litigation environment

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of relevant litigation experience
• Plaintiff-side experience strongly preferred
• Personal injury, medical malpractice, or related complex litigation experience is relevant
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
