2026-27 Registrar I - Explorer MS Paradise Valley USD 69 Explorer MS - Phoenix, Arizona Job Details Job ID: 5693945 Application Deadline: Posted until filled Posted: May 05, 2026 6:00 AM (UTC) Starting Date: Jul 7, 2026 Job Description Registrar I Location: Explorer Middle School Non Interim Position Term : 10 months, 8 hours per day Grade: 14, $15.94 Start Date: 07/07/2026 Purpose Statement The job of Registrar I is to assist with registering students and maintaining computerized student records and files; provide student information to authorized parties in compliance with established policies; and, when time permits, provide general clerical support to site administrators. This job reports to School Administration. Essential Functions Assists administrator in developing master class schedules to ensure student course and class size requirements are accurate. Informs appropriate personnel of possible student course deficiencies and retentions (e.g., administrators, counselors) to assist in addressing student course requirements. Interprets and inputs pertinent information from transcripts of incoming students for transferring grades and semester credit hours into the student information system. Maintains a variety of manual and electronic documents, files, and records (e.g., grades, transcripts, student information, balanced classes within negotiated limits, budget control for M & O account, up-to-date computer records on each student) to provide up-to-date information and/or historical reference in accordance with established administrative guidelines and legal requirements. Performs enrollment and withdrawal activities to comply with established requirements. Prepares documents and reports (e.g., report cards, reconciled daily enrollment information, class schedules, student data reports, honor rolls, certificates) to communicate information to other parties and/or agencies. Processes a variety of documents and materials (e.g., withdrawals, record requests, letters of residency, grade changes) to provide required information in response to requests from students, other districts, colleges/universities, and/or government agencies. Responds to questions from a variety of internal and external sources (e.g., staff, other educational institutions, the public, parents, students) to provide information and/or direction. Supervises students (e.g., student aides, student traffic, isolated students) to ensure activities are conducted in compliance with the program objectives and in a safe and positive learning environment. Verifies student related data (e.g., grades, information) to ensure the accuracy of the student records. Other Functions Performs other related duties as assigned (e.g., general clerical duties, answer telephones, back‑up Administrative Assistant) to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit. Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Skill: operating standard office equipment, software, preparing and maintaining accurate records; customer service; screening telephone calls; using pertinent software applications. Knowledge: basic math (fractions, percents, ratios), reading manuals, writing documents following prescribed formats, understanding complex multi‑step written and oral instructions, codes, regulations & laws related to student enrollment, graduation and transfer; business telephone etiquette; recordkeeping and retention practices. Ability: scheduling activities, meetings, events, collating and classifying data, using basic job‑related equipment; flexibility to work with others in various circumstances; problem solving to identify issues and create action plans.
