Marketing Intern

Location: Wood Dale, IL Join AAR’s Marketing team at our global headquarters in Wood Dale for an engaging 10-week summer internship. As a Marketing Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting AAR’s brand, events, and Corporate Marketing initiatives while working closely with cross-functional partners across the organization. What You'll Be Responsible For Spend 10 weeks gaining hands-on experience across key marketing functions, including product marketing, corporate materials (advertising), and events. Assist with the development and execution of marketing campaigns, advertisements, content creation, and promotional initiatives across multiple channels. Conduct market and competitive research to support business development, product positioning, and go-to-market strategies. Assist in preparing marketing materials such as presentations and sales collateral. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product, and Corporate Communications to ensure alignment and consistency of messaging. Develop professional skills through mentorship, learning sessions, and exposure to marketing tools, platforms, and best practices. Build a strong foundation for a future career in Marketing, Graphic Design, or related business disciplines at AAR or within the broader business community. Performance Objectives: Learning & Development: Participate in structured learning sessions and mentorship opportunities with marketing leaders and subject matter experts across the organization. Project Management: Take ownership of a meaningful marketing-related project, applying creativity and analytical thinking to develop insights, recommendations, and final deliverables presented to Marketing Leadership. Business Acumen: Gain a strong understanding of how a global organization operates by learning how marketing supports growth, customer engagement, and brand strategy within the aerospace industry. What You Need To Be Successful In The Role Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree. Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher. Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Graphic Design, or a related field preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite applications (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) is a plus. Creative mindset with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while completing tasks as part of a team. Why Should You Apply? Compensation The anticipated salary range for this position is $20/hr. This range reflects the base pay for candidates who meet the requirements of the role, including experience, education, and location.
