Our organization is currently looking for a Program Director to lead its ACGME-accredited Gastroenterology fellowship training program located in Oceanside, NY!

This fellowship program accommodates two fellows annually, totaling six fellows, and emphasizes outstanding clinical training alongside opportunities for research focused on clinical applications. All required and elective rotations take place at our facilities, including specialized rotations in IBD and liver transplant at a partner hospital, offering a distinctive experience due to the diverse patient population served. Additionally, the Division features a separate advanced Interventional GI fellowship with one fellow per year.

The Program Director will report directly to the Chief of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and will be tasked with developing and implementing the educational framework for the fellowship. This role also encompasses essential administrative duties such as mentoring, evaluating trainees, and overseeing the annual recruitment of new fellows. The Program Director is expected to foster innovative educational experiences that enhance the skills necessary for serving a diverse patient demographic. Our Department of Medicine is dedicated to holistic patient care, emphasizing a patient-centered approach. Notably, both didactic and patient-focused teaching will involve fellows, residents, and medical students. We also host a fully accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program with 39 residents, alongside training programs in General Surgery, ObGyn, Family Medicine, and Podiatry, with additional programs and fellowships in development.

Qualifications for the Position:

• Medical Degree from an accredited institution
• Valid New York Medical License
• Board Certification in Gastroenterology

• Strong communication skills, excellent bedside manner, and organizational abilities
• A robust work ethic and a commitment to being part of a team-oriented, performance-driven healthcare system

Compensation is projected to range from $500,000 to $575,000 (excluding bonuses, incentive compensation, or benefits).

Our organization provides a salary range in compliance with New York City’s Salary Transparency law. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, including experience, specialty, historical productivity, collections, and community needs. Therefore, the final salary may be closer to either end of the range, and in some cases, could fall outside the listed range. The stated salary range pertains to full-time employment and does not encompass bonuses, incentive compensation, or benefits.
